STC LLC ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Linksly mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our App.

Information We Collect

Information You Provide

• Contact Information: When you grant permission, we access your device contacts to help you select recipients for sharing links. This data stays on your device and is not uploaded to our servers.
• Profile Name: You may optionally set a display name that appears when sharing links with others.
• Saved Content: Links, notes, and tags you save within the app are stored locally on your device.

Automatically Collected Information

• Link Metadata: When you shorten links using our Plus features, we process URL metadata (titles, descriptions, images) to generate previews. This is handled by our backend service.
• Usage Data: Basic analytics about app usage (feature usage counts, not personal data) to improve the app experience.

iCloud Sync (Plus Users)

If you enable iCloud sync, your saved content (links, recipients, tags) is synced via Apple's iCloud service. This data is encrypted and managed according to Apple's privacy policies.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide core app functionality (saving and sharing links)
• Generate link previews for shared content
• Create shortened links via our l.linksly.app service
• Sync your data across devices (if iCloud sync is enabled)
• Improve app performance and user experience

Data Storage and Security

• Local Storage: Most of your data is stored locally on your device using encrypted Core Data storage.
• Cloud Storage: If you use iCloud sync, data is stored in your personal iCloud account.
• Link Shortening Service: When you create shortened links, minimal data (the URL and optional title) is stored on our AWS servers to enable the redirect functionality.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share data only in these circumstances:

• Service Providers: We use AWS for our link shortening backend service.
• Legal Requirements: If required by law or to protect our rights.
• With Your Consent: When you explicitly choose to share content with others.

Your Rights and Choices

• Contacts Access: You can deny or revoke contacts permission at any time in iOS Settings.
• iCloud Sync: You can enable or disable iCloud sync in the app settings.
• Data Deletion: You can delete all your data by removing the app from your device. Shortened links can be deleted through the app.
• Export: Your data remains on your device and can be accessed through standard iOS backup methods.

Children's Privacy

Linksly is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Third-Party Services

The App may contain links to external websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third-party services.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy.
